                      Rating

Taste of the Wild dog food reviews absolutely seem to agree on one thing: this is an excellent brand of dog food. Through my research of the company, its foods, and customer reviews, I’m inclined to agree.

There’s something to be said about a dog food company whose customers can’t seem to find a whole lot to complain about. Even some of the biggest, most well-known brands can’t make this claim. Somehow, Taste of the Wild keeps it providing premium quality dog food that makes its customers, and their dogs, very happy.

                      Pros

Let’s start with the obvious: the customer reviews. I always research customer reviews of dog food brands because, in my opinion, this is one of the best ways to get a complete look at a dog food. The brand’s website can talk up their food easily, and of course they will. They are a business, after all. But the customer reviews are what provide true insight into a brand.

Most of the reviews about Taste of the Wild are glowing. The few that did not like the food mostly had complaints about their dog switching abruptly from another food. This can, and usually does, cause severe digestive issues, because dogs’ bodies get used to their regular food. This can happen with any food, not just Taste of the Wild.

The customers who feed their dogs Taste of the Wild regularly absolutely love it because of its healthy, balanced ingredients. Additionally, their dogs seem to love the taste, and that’s always a plus.

I am very impressed with the ingredients in the Taste of the Wild formulas. I love that they include so many different animal meats that you don’t find in many dog foods, like bison and venison. These are excellent, quality proteins that dogs love. And the addition of super-healthy fruits and vegetables knock this food out of the park.

                      Cons

The only problem I can see with Taste of the Wild foods is that they are pricier than other dog food brands. However, compared to other pricier brands with very comparable ingredients, I can’t find much to complain about.

This may not be the very best food for your wallet if you are on a tight budget, but if you can afford to splurge a bit on dog food, I absolutely recommend that you go for Taste of the Wild. I would consider it a mid-priced food, but its quality ingredients are well-worth the bit of extra money.

Taste Of The Wild Dog Food Ingredients

As you can see, if you compare this food to AAFCO guidelines for nutrients, it’s right on target. High protein and fiber content, and a moderate fat content, along with plenty of Omega fatty acids and other vitamins and minerals for overall health.

Reviews by customers praise this, and the other formulas, for its ingredients, and I can see why. Taste of the Wild uses real animal proteins as its number one ingredient for its formulas. All formulas are also grain-free, and although this isn’t a necessity, it’s important for owners of dogs with allergies or sensitivities.

I love that it has tons of quality proteins and ingredients for a perfectly balanced meal. This particular variety has buffalo, venison, beef, ocean fish meal, blueberries, raspberries, and more. Additionally, it’s packed with probiotics to support a healthy immune system.

Taste of The Wild Dog Food Recall History

There is no history of a dog food recall for Taste of the Wild in the last two years according to the FDA and reviews of Taste of the Wild dog food.

                      Final Thoughts

I love when I can get excited about a dog food I review. Taste of the Wild is a dog food I find myself getting excited about. I feel like the brand just understands dogs, and their owners, really well. You can tell by the brand website that the company puts a lot of thought into everything it does, from picking the highest quality ingredients right down to manufacturing and packaging the kibble.

Taste of the Wild even keeps loving owners in the loop by cluing them into their manufacturing and quality assurance processes so they know exactly what happens to their dog’s food. A transparent company with excellent food and loyal customers? It sounds like a winner to me.
