Petcube Review
I am a new pet owner who adopted a twelve-year-old Labrador from a rescue center a few months ago. Since then, we have become bosom buddies who are almost inseparable.

My dream is to always stay connected to my furry buddy. When I can, I travel with my dog but this is not always possible.

When I leave her at home, I want to see what she is up to as she is now an adored member of our family. Apart from saving her image on my phone, I wanted a better way of keeping watch on her when I am away.

After a bit of research, I came across Petcube and it seemed like the perfect gadget for keeping in touch with my pet. This is a gadget that was created to enhance social and emotional interaction with my furry friend.

It makes it possible for me to have one-on-one communication with her. Not only can I speak to her but she can also listen to me, bringing mutual benefits to both of us.

The camera has comes with an inbuilt microphone and speaker. It has a built-in laser pointer that you can use to play with your pet.

It definitely sounds like a cool gadget, but is it all bliss when using it? This is the question I will seek to answer in this Petcube review.

Petcube Review: Rating

One thing I like about the Petcube is that it has an amazing camera supported by a great app. The gadget is also very easy to use. There are two different versions, Petcube Bites, and Petcube Play, but more on that later.

Even though I am not a tech savvy person, I found it simple to install the pet camera. This is because it comes with instructions that are easy to follow.

On the downside, I do not like the unresponsive laser pointer accompanied by an expensive subscription model. This is why I will give the camera a rating of four out of five.

Product Analysis

For the camera to work, you will need to download the Petcube app. This is what you will use to control the camera, fling the treats, and even monitor your pet.

You will also need to create a Petcube account for using the app. It is easy to sign up as you can also use your Facebook account.

By simply looking at the numbers, you will see how impressive the product is. Here is a summary of the Petcube features:

  • 1080-pixel camera with a viewing angle of 138 degrees
  • Three times zoom support
  • Support for night vision
  • Motion and sound detection and alerts
  • Two-way audio
  • Automatic reordering of treats using Amazon dash support

The Petcube Bites product comes with a treat feeder that allows you to dispense food to your pet even when you are away from home. This feature also allows you to choose a specific time when you can dispense the food.

To benefit from the functionality of the gadget, you will need to manually load the treats. You get a small bag of treats to help you get started.

Where To Buy

Petcube is available on online stores that specialize in canine products. You can buy them at a good price on Amazon and Chewy.

Review

While it has its downside, many Petcube reviews agree that this is a revolutionary product. The device offers something that you will not see in other devices in the same category.

For my test purposes, I got the silver camera base even though it is available in white, matte, black, or rose gold. As the name suggests, it has the design of a cube and measures four inches on every side.

From my Petcube review, I can say the gadget is a mixed-bag of features and performance. Here are the pros and cons:

Pros

  • Speaker and microphone work well
  • Easy to install and use
  • Ability to feed your pet when away from home
  • Outstanding support system
  • Filters any background noise

Cons

  • May not be able to cover all the activities of your pet
  • Without WiFi, the gadget is useless
  • Price is on the higher side

The gadget enables you to stream 1080-pixel HD video to watch your dog. It has motion and sound alerts that will keep you updated on major occurrences.

Petcube Bites 2 Wi-Fi Pet Camera

Americans love dogs  and this is why the majority are searching for a gadget to help them keep in touch with their pets. With the Petcube Bites Wi-Fi Pet Camera & Treat Dispenser, you can interact with your dog using your iOS or Android gadget.

This is because it has a video stream, three times zoom, and night vision to help you watch your pooch at any hour of the day. Unlike its sister above, it also allows you to dispense treats from the gadget. With an app command, you can toss a treat to your furry friend or schedule the exact time when the dog treat should be dispensed.

My Final Thoughts

When I was doing this Petcube camera review, one thing that came out clearly is that this is a well thought out gadget that will help you keep in touch with your canine.

As long as you have Wi-Fi in your home, this is among the best pet gadgets that will serve you well. So, if you are the type who is often away and left missing your dogs, you can go ahead and order one today.
